GOD, you are so lucky miscastdice... watching the first performance ever of this Superband (I hope it will last). Thanks for the news lisamm, at least we can see they are not a one-day-band and that they will continue rockin' L.A. If they did play songs from their bands, I am really going to cry TAIJI still looks fuckin' awesome.

QUOTE (Matthias @ Jul 1 2009, 07:22 PM) Hookers and Tequilla You forgot the blow ;) He's got more snow in his nose than we have in the mountains ;) (and before ANYONE jumps on me for spreading rumors...... anyone who saw his clothes at TKRA knows that's no rumor. Unless, of course, he somehow had an accident while baking a flour cake before he went on ;) ) A big THANX to everyone for the setlists. I can't believe I didn't recognize the Sex Pistols stuff...... And I'm definitely looking forward to the future of the band. That said, I can't help but to wonder what the fuck Taiji and Yo were discussing so seriously......Who knows, maybe TKRA and X might do a joint live? I don't think so though.....because as much as Taiji and Yo might let bygones be bygones.......I don't think Yo would ever share a stage with DT again and I would not blame him for that!!!!

Fill me in, why would Yoshiki not share a stage with Dynamite Tommy? Seeing specially how Extasy Records and Free-Will were twin companions in the 90's? And seeing how Yoshiki and Toshi gladly played with COLOR in the 90's too? I really see no logic beyond your words.
We all know Taiji's story about doing drugs and even being homeless for years. He's been near to death so many times, living in disaster a lot of years. I just hope that if he still does any drug, he takes care or himself. As Joaquin Sabina says, drugs are nice, but addicts are idiots. That's all I've gotta said about that, I don't care on whether discussing if it's true or false.
Yoshiki's discussion with Taiji seems interesting. If not for sharing a stage, maybe for letting X JAPAN replay some songs written by Taiji? Since people have been asking for it a lot, remember how Desperate Angel was #1 in the online poll for 2009 Tokyo Domes.
The gigs seemed nice, I wish they had come to play to Mexico instead of just passing by >=/ Baki where the hell were you? D:<

From what I heard, Extasy and Free-will were always trying to outdo each other professionally speaking. I don't know to what extent that became personal considering they did worked together in the late 80's and early 90's. They both carved out their territories in Japan playing certain venues and tried to outdo each other with events and concerts. Even today, with their few attempts in America that has been the case, Yoshiki's efforts have been mostly on the West Coast and DT's Free-will on the East Coast.

(and before ANYONE jumps on me for spreading rumors...... anyone who saw his clothes at TKRA knows that's no rumor. Unless, of course, he somehow had an accident while baking a flour cake before he went on ;) )
(...) I found an illogical reasoning here: The fact that he had "some suspicious white stuff" on his clothes does not necessary means that he was using drugs, and the fact that you were there while most of us dont, doesnt mean that you are right (what if the white stuff was drug from someone else?) Now, considering the FACT that drug price is rising and the FACT that Taiji has already used many drugs makes me think that he knows how to use it and how to avoid any waste of drug. Also, I havent seen the dates of the pics: Perhaps those pics were taken before (or after) the LA gig so it may affect your "theory" about Taiji doing drugs in Mexico and having it all over his clothes (perhaps he traveled from Mexico to the USA while border officials from both Mexico and the USA were drinking coffee... lol) __________ Now, about TKRA doing stuff along with X Japan, while Taiji was (and, Thanks God, still is) a true metal/punk lover Yoshiki seems to enjoy both heavy and not heavy music so I cant (really, I cant) see Yoshiki doing some thrash/punk stuff and then having Taiji doing White Poem I, Drain or any stuff from the Dahlia era (BUT I have to admit that I would love to see Taiji playing scars) And, I would love to see some really good old X songs performed by X Japan and Taiji =)

QUOTE (yoshiki @ Jul 2 2009, 07:48 PM) A video was posted on the official site. Is Taiji playing USA anthem? xD http://addictedtokilling.com/live/tkralalive622.wmvwell, it sure looks fun ^^ the worst thing about this group is that Tommy can't really sing (or at least that's what I think) and unfortunately when I hear KRA the first thing that comes to my mind is a visual group Kra, under PS Company label.

I hope I don't get warned for this, but I absolutely fucking agree with you. DT can't sing in my opinion and IN MY OPINION ONLY his going on with them rather than taking a producer role and finding a better frontman who matched the rest of the band better was a very bad decision.......!!!!!!! Seriously.... it would be like Yoshiki being absolutely unable to play drums and insisting to go on as the sole drummer just because he's Yoshiki and not because he can actually perform anymore. . . difference is Yo can still fucking keep up with pretty much anyone on drums despite being unable to do what he did back in the 90s. . . DT can't fucking sing better than 80% of the talent he could have tapped from his companies for the band. . .

even if i wasn't biased for loving every band tommy has done, id still think he's a great singer for this project. lets face it. how many of the bands we like on here actually have good singers. i mean shit toshi sounds like garbage on the first 2 eps, and all the demo's, but i think the orgasm 7" is the best thing X ever released. you also have to remember most of us don't speak japanese, and that makes it a lot harder to tell if someone is good at singing. also it depends on the style if a certain singer is going to fit, plus i mean look at the songs the killing red addction are playing. they are PUNK songs. 99% of punk vocalists cannot sing, but there are people out there who love it anyways.
OK im going to further break this down.
Tommy - color was the most punk band on the visual scene, and most of the bands he signed were more punk influenced Kenzi - every band he has been in was crazy and punk. Taiji - always dressed and acted like a badass in X, and was definitely the least "pretty-boyish" out of all their members. Baki - gastunk started as a punk band with very vocals that were not mainstream at all.
what would make you think any of the members wants a good vocalist who is actually talented at singing. i think we can conclude that this band is 4 old friends, a couple of them probably hung out one day, and joked about starting a band, and then it happened somehow. seems like they want to have some fun, play some punk songs, and maybe make a bit of money in the process. i really don't think the point of this band is to awe people with vocal or musical stylings, and i think that's great.

For me, DT is the best singer this group can have, and in my opinion, MY OPINION ONLY, if you don't have a clue of what the hell you're talking about, just shut the fuck up and be happy the rest of your life And what the fuck does the Yoshiki/DT comparison have to do with this topic?? we are talking about Killing Red Action, so please leave that stupid drummer wannabe away from this topic... back to business, I wish I had the chance to go to see TKRA live, not always we will have the chance to listen performing 2 great musicians as Tatsu and Taiji are. Geez, I'm back after almost 2 months and I already found fanboys here...
