Like I've said before, I believe it's time to take action. Toshi's through one of the hardest times in his life, and we should show him how much we care and support him.

I want you to please post any kind of ideas of how to do this, everything is welcome.


Main Idea: A Scrapbook Album

My idea, up to now, is making something like an album, which will hold all our handwritten letters, not via e-mail, since I believe when someone takes the time to write all of this by your own fist, it takes with it all your effort, your love, and your caring, wishing him the best. Drawings or pictures of you with you official merchandise of his solo career stuff, X's or both are a good idea too, but they're entirely OPTIONAL.


Rules

• NO FLAMING (i.e. MASAYA, Wanku, HoH & etc.), he doesn't wanna know about that, he needs positive stuff and your support, focus on that.
• The text should be written in English. If you happen to know GOOD Japanese, you can write him a letter in his native language.
• The text (your handwriting) should be both legible and understandable. Remember he would have to get it translated since his English isn't that good as Yoshiki's. If you're not that good with English, type it on your computer, get it checked by someone you know that handles the language pretty well, and then write it by hand; drafts are good to practice.
• Your personal info: Name, Age, Country. Since I will be sorting the letters alphabetically by your first name, and I'll make you something that will look like a cover (prelude) to your letter, with all that info. If you send drawings or pictures, they will go in that same page.
• The paper where you write your letter, or draw, must be A4 (210×297mm), and have a 1 inch margin on both sides, because I will be opening up some holes on the pages to put them on the album. This is a global measure, if you buy any kind of paper with holes, that's the exact measure that will fit perfectly with what I'll intend to do. If you don't have A4 in your country, you can always use Letter paper (8.5x11"). CLICK HERE TO SEE A MORE DETAILED EXAMPLE.
• If you send pictures, they should be printed already (normal paper of photographic paper, your choice).
• There's a maximum of 3 pages per letter, and you MUST write in BOTH sides of the page, respecting the margin.

Deadline: March 8th.
To make it clearer, that's the last day you will have to go over your local post office and send your letter to the volunteer designed for your area.


Requirements to accomplish the project
1. Physical address of Extasy Records, or any other place where we can be sure they will receive those letters and hand them to Yoshiki or Toshi directly.
2. Confirmation of those who want to participate. If we have more than 50 people, I'll give it a go.
3. A volunteer that can receive letters from fans within the US. We already have a volunteer in Europe (Queenie @ Spain), USA & Canada (xfreakjess @ USA), Asia (Ba-DiL @ Indonesia), and for Latin America and Brazil (Pan @ Panama). When we have met the deadline, these volunteers will mail me the letters, and I will personally pay that fee, so don't worry about that, what I need from volunteer is that they borrow their address to let people mail them the letters, nothing more than that, I will handle the rest.
Note: I don't know how many Chinese or Middle/East Asian fans are willing to contribute, and to which one of these 3 countries is cheapest and better for them to mail their letters. I will surely be grateful for any of your help in this topic, Ba-DiL and Lisa.

Resumen en español, estamos armando un proyecto para enviarle cartas de apoyo a Toshi, que mucho lo necesita, y nosotros como fans debemos tomar acción.


Idea: Un Álbum

La idea es crear un álbum con todas las cartas (a mano, y no por e-mail) de apoyo de sus fans y enviárselo a Toshi; cartas escritas a mano, ya que creo que cuando uno se toma el tiempo de hacer las cosas con su propio puño y letra, se imprimen en ella su esfuerzo, sus sentimientos, y todo el cariño y el apoyo que quieren demostrarle. Pero no sólo cartas, también pueden enviar dibujos, o fotos con su colección de material original, enseñándole a Toshi que lo han apoyado desde antes, y lo seguirán haciendo ahora. Las fotos y los dibujos son totalmente OPCIONALES.


Reglas

• PROHIBIDOS los mensajes insultantes (obviamente hacia MASAYA, Wanku y etc.), Toshi necesita nuestro apoyo y mensajes POSITIVOS.
• La carta DEBE de estár escrita en inglés, o si conoces el lenguaje, en japonés. Si no sabes mucho inglés, consultalo con alguien que conozca y te pueda ayudar; recomiendo que hagas un borrador de la carta en español y luego lo traduzcas, suele ser más fácil traducir y corregir de esa manera.
• Tu escritura debe ser legible y entendible.
• Tu info personal: Nombre, edad y país. Estaré acomodando las cartas por orden alfabético del primer nombre, además de que hare una especie de portada para introducir tu carta, dónde iran esos datos. Si mandas dibujos o fotos, iran en dicha página, que sirve de interludio a tu carta.
• Las cartas y los dibujos deben de ser hechas en papel A4 (210×297mm), y además, tener una pulgada de margen de ambos lados, para no perforar y dañar lo que está escrito, cuando se le abra un agujero para insertarlo en el álbum. La medida es global, si compras hojas rayadas con agujeros, esa es la medida que tienen. Si en tu país no existe el papel A4, puedes hacerlo en papel de carta (8.5x11"). • Si mandan fotos, ya deben de venir impresas, ya sea en papel fotográfico o papel normal, es su elección.
• Hay un máximo de 3 páginas por carta, y DEBEN utilizar AMBAS CARAS de la página, respetando el margen.

Fecha Límite: 8 de Marzo
Para hacerlo más claro, ese será el último día en que podrán ir a su oficina de correos local para envíar su carta al voluntario correspondiente de su área.


Requerimientos para poder realizar el proyecto
1. Una dirección física de Extasy Records, de alguna oficina de Yoshiki, o cualquier lugar donde sea seguro que reciban las cartas y se las pasen a Yoshiki, o a Toshi directamente.
2. La confirmación SEGURA de participantes, si hay más de 50, el proyecto va.
3. Un voluntario en USA que se preste para recibir las cartas de los fans de alla. Por el momento ya tenemos voluntario para Europa (Queenie @ España), para Estados Unidos y Canadá (xfreakjess @ USA), Asia (Ba-DiL @ Indonesia) y para Latino América y Brasil (Pan @ Panamá). Yo me encargare del costo del envío, para que me lo manden a mí, y yo acomodar el álbum que se le mandará a Toshi, ya sea directamente por Yoshiki o Extasy Records.

The album idea is really nice, with letters, drawings and maybe photos. I really like this stuff but I don't live in the US, Italy post offices situation is peraphs worse than Panama.. so I can't receive the material.

As another option to drawings, how about sending pictures of you with your collection of CDs, DVD, posters, anything official you may own, to show him that you have supported him since before, and will continue doing it? Just a thought I had on the spot.

Well, at BXtE we had people send letters (well photos/pictures) to one of our guys, who lived in the area (we had Europe divided, so the postage fees for the people wouldn't be too high for the fans, one guy for Eastern Europe, one for Germany, Italy, etc and so on). And then the coordinators all sent them to one location from where we packed it up and shipped it off to Japan, where our contact there gave them to X Japan's manager. Well that contact is gone by now so don't count on that. However we have a few others, so we might get something. Of course, just sending them to Extasy LA office might work also. MIGHT. If they get a huge package with letters for Toshi, they probably won't throw it away anyway. They might a single fanletter.

Another possibility is to do everything on-line and later put it together and print as a book. In a way it might be more effective. In a way, not. All would depend on how many people would send something. Or even what would they want to send. We could do photos, drawings, just messages, video messages or a combination of everything. But it has to be something that wouldn't take too much time or effort (unless you want to put it in), because that would mean more response from the fans (some not-so-hardcore-fans wouldn't bother drawing a fancy picture, but might send in a nice message).

I already have a volunteer to gather all the letters from Europe, Queenie will do me the favor. As for the Latin community, it would be myself.
I just need someone in the US who would actually take responsibility to receive letters within the US, and other countries like China (it's better to them to send it there, instead of Europe, I THINK, if I'm wrong, please correct me).

In the end, I'll send both representatives from the US and Europe money to send me the letters, I can pull the album by myself and then mail it to Yoshiki.

What I DO need, is people to POST here, telling me that they will surely participate, so I can give the project a go. If someone else can post this to other forums, it would be great. I believe we need to unite in this, the more people we have, the better.

The fact is that everytime a project like this starts, people are lazy and don't want to create something physical, like a letter, and prefer to do it online. But I always thought having a real physical book with a collection of physical stuff works much better than online stuff.

As I was saying to sanorin, he pointed something I had forgotten, NO flaming messages towards MASAYA & co. in the letters, Toshi needs positive words and vibes, so the worst thing you could do is focus your words to remember him about that. I've also edited the first post to add this.

I've been talking this through with Pan, and here is what I consider the best plan so far, in easy steps:

1) X Freaks around the globe elaborate their own physical letters. All letters will have a certain size (8.5x11) and left margin. They must include supportive messages only, no flaming towards Wanku/Masaya, just positive things. Letters can contain handwritten text in japanese/english, drawings, photos, all printed in the same paper, not separate. They must contain your nick/name, and country as a must. I guess age is nice too.

2) These letters will be sent to 3 main people: Queenie if you're in Europe, Pan if you're in Latin America, and someone else if you're in the USA.

3) When these 3 people get enough letters (100 is a perfect ideal, I think 60~ would be pretty neat already), the Europe and USA ones should be re-sent in 2 packages to Pan, in Panama.

4) All letters will be used to make a small book/notebook, with a cover, and everything. That's why all letters must be in the same size and have left margin, to use this cheaper kind of put em together, by perforating the paper and using binding plastic: http://cemeyeka.com/imagenes/binding_plastic.jpg

5) The album will be sent to Yoshiki/Toshi. The end product should be a little notebook with supportive messages and pictures from all over the world that Toshi can easily keep in his home and look at whenever he wants to in his hands.

I'm one of the admins, and I haven't talk to the other admins but yes of course we will support this fully. We will try to widen our reach to our neighboring countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Philippine, etc. Thailand has a huge fan base of X JAPAN, we'll see if we can reach them too.

It's a great idea for sending it to Yoshiki, because he's surely will give it to Toshi. I might have closer contact to Yoshiki :P But I can't make any tangible promise now, I need to make a few contact first and hoping the response will be positive.
